Hip to be green at Detroit auto show
Environmentally friendly concept cars are the major theme this year
It's green here in January. Very green.Fresh grass has replaced snow outside the North American International Auto Show and spiffy small models with the latest environmentally friendly technology are gaining ground on the usual pollution-emitting horsepower inside.
"It has moved from a trickle to a flood," Richard Cooper, executive director of J.D. Power and Associates in Canada, said yesterday after seeing some of the new metal on the show floor.
